MHA Director Steve Walston will be taking a leave of absence for the next 18 months on a humanitarian mission in Africa. Steve has led the program in growth, stature, and flexibility – adding an online professional version to the degree. We will miss Steve dearly, but wish him well in his humanitarian efforts.
We’re very pleased to announce that Rand Kerr has accepted the position of Interim Director of the program as we conduct a nation-wide search for Steve’s replacement. Rand has been a faculty member here at the Eccles School for the last year, where he has been instrumental in launching the MHA Online program, and serving as its director. Students have loved learning from him and have given him rave reviews in the classroom. Prior to joining the Eccles School, Rand had 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, serving as the CEO of Lakeview Hospital and as a regional administrator for HCA Healthcare and COO of St. Mark’s Hospital.
We’re so excited to have Rand share his expertise with us as we search for a permanent director. The program is in good hands!
